Elegant, cheap, respects privacy, a rare product
I looked long and hard for a scale which
a) keeps data from each person hidden from other persons
b) does not require an online account and does not send data to the cloud
c) is compatible with OpenScale in order to be able to download the data to my PC (vendor apps almost never allow exports)
There are very few scales which meet these criteria, and this Beurer BF 710 was the least expensive. Beurer BF scales also have good test ratings.
Note that the app does not allow you to export your data. Also whatever data you enter (e.g. what you ate, how much you exercised) just sits there, it is not used to compute anything. I suggest to install OpenScale (though the vendor app might be required for the initial setup).Pro

Measure values perfectly... but the APP connection is unprofessional
The app is actually unusable, and the scale also loses the connection, so you have to set it up again and again from the beginning.
When the scale then displays "FULL", you can no longer establish a connection. RESET does nothing, but the scale still measures and displays.
It would have been better to connect to an existing health app.
Basically, the BEURER devices are absolutely perfect, but as with other devices we have, the APPs are unusable.

There is no question of smart here!
I cannot recommend this product in any way! It is better to simply buy the cheapest scale without a smartphone connection. This scale can't do much more, but the price is still higher.
You have to enter far too much personal data to be able to connect to the scale. I want to measure my weight and not apply for a visa! Also, the connection with the app only works in 1 out of 3 attempts. This means that it takes 2-3 minutes to connect to measure the weight...
A waste of time and money, as I said: better to buy a scale without "smart functions". And Beuer should not sell "smart" products if they only use apps and technologies from the last century!Pro
