Of course, you could say that this is a product from the Far East and that you have to make concessions. But that is not the case for every such product. Galaxus should at least point out that a WLAN connection is only possible with a 2.4 GHz network and without a security password. You could still manage that with some technical understanding, that a part of the network runs on 2.4, but without a password? Without me.
And the fact that you only learn in the unofficial, English-language (!) instruction manual available on the net, that people over 65 only get weight and pulse and no detailed measurements, is quite relevant, since I bought this scale exactly for that. Galaxus would therefore have to highlight that clearly. I'm keeping the device anyway, firstly because I assume that at least the weight is measured more precisely than with my previous scale, and because going to the post office for 99 francs is simply too inconvenient for me.

The product comes without frills, well packaged and on time from Digitec. No assembly necessary, but no batteries are included (get 3xAA!).
First you have to install it with Huawei Health, comprehensive data entry. For IOS in the app store. With Android there is the well-known Google - Huawei problem, here is the workaround: You must first google the Huawei Store on the Natel, download it, activate your browser on the Natel for "installation from unknown sources", install the App Store, activate the unknown sources for the H AppStore, download the H Health App.... and then create an H account and enter your personal data (=> Ireland=> China?). A little effort, but solvable.
The scale will then show you very comprehensive health data: Attention: They are totally different from what you might know from a scan scale without handle. I have had a Withings scale for more than 10 years that only measures body fat via the base plate. Unfortunately - but that was the goal - the body fat from the upper body is now added. First a shock: the new baseline is significantly higher, but just now the new baseline.
In general, I think it doesn't matter and you just have to set your personal goal after the baseline.
I think it's great that - at least in the more complicated but open Android world - you can synchronise the data directly in the cloud with your other fitness apps using "HealthSync". I myself currently use Fitbit as an activity and sleep tracker. It's convenient for me when the data is exchanged and you don't have to change apps.

The part is very accurate, you can measure several times in a row, it always shows the same. The connection also worked wonderfully, the analyses seem conclusive, everything fits :)
The Huawei Health app tells me I am overweight based on the scale and recommends that I lose 11.45kg. At the same time, it tells me that I have a total of 12.3 kg of fat and 15% body fat. Therefore only 4 points, otherwise good.
