Philips Lumea IPL Series 9000
After more than a year of use, I can best speak of experience here. At the beginning, I was completely enthusiastic and thought it was something long-term or even permanent. But that is just a marketing hoax. The hair growth is not stopped at all but only delayed. If you use it again later, you will prevent regrowth, but some hair will still grow back because you miss a spot somewhere. And if you miss the regular application once or several times, you will have all the hair you had before the treatment. I haven't had any laser treatment for two months and all my hairs are back. In some cases I even got more hair. Over time, laser treatment becomes tedious and time-consuming. It takes a long time to laser the chest and stomach. The attachment at the front is red-hot. You burn your own skin. In summer it is unbearable. You have to let it cool down. The battery operation is only useful for small areas like armpits because the laser works slower. I have always used it with a cable. Over time, you also notice that the laser loses power all around and only puts the hairs to sleep in the middle, which makes the application even longer and more tedious. After many applications, the laser glass gets certain stains that cannot be removed and that probably reduce the intensity.
For me, this is a case for the dustbin or possibly Ricardo.

I find it a great way to remove hair, you don't have to shave daily and there are no ingrown hairs or other irritated areas.
I have used it on my legs and underarms. On the legs the effect is very good, the few hairs that still grow (after about 5-6 months) grow very slowly and you can hardly see them. Under the armpits, the result was a little less successful (and a little more uncomfortable - you feel a little something). True, the hair grows more slowly and it no longer requires a daily shave. Also, fewer hairs tend to grow and especially thinner ones. However, I am still not completely satisfied with the result at this point. The effect is less good than on the legs, it still grows back significantly more hair. But maybe this will improve in the coming months.

I have had the device for almost a year and have been using it once a month since about April last year. Dark black strong hair. Great success on the legs, also on the face and under the armpits. The bikini area is a bit more stubborn, but it will come. You have to use the device every 2 weeks, which I don't do, so I am still surprised at the very good success. I myself am very sensitive to light, so I bought two special IPL glasses for about 15.-- each, which are very good, and I have the treatment done by a third party, because I am very migraine- and light-sensitive and got nausea with vomiting during the first application. According to my dermatologist, you can protect yourself even more by holding a cloth over the flash (not the light). He also recommended it to me. Since I have problems with my hands, the device is relatively heavy for me, but not a problem for healthy people. I have the OK from my doctors to use it even though I have blood thinners, it could just bruise here and there.

I have used it 2 times now and I already know lasering from the beauty salon. It seems to work quite well, however, I need to improve my technique so that it becomes even. However, since I now look like a partially plucked chicken, it doesn't seem to be the device but my laser strategy.

After 4 sessions per area I have hardly any hair left and those that do grow back are fine, except for the bikini area: I will persevere. The device is easy to use.

I am thrilled with the device itself, as hair hardly grew back on various parts of the body after the first laser treatment. I realized that you have to strictly follow the instructions and time intervals and do this via app - also the tips and ticks and videos are very useful. It is important to note that the treatment does not affect BLOND HAIR! I did not know that at the time of purchase (but is clearly written in the instructions) and noticed that the light hairs are still there on my face, but is not so bad.
I am now after 5 treatments very very satisfied!!! There are virtually no more hairs that grow back.
What I clearly criticize at this price range is the too small accessory bag (Tetris is announced), a mickrig laughably small cleaning cloth for the attachments and a battery that does not deserve its name (with me he holds max 5 minutes). Better to work with a plug and cable right from the start. Since Philips should have made a little more effort for this proud price. Therefore 1 star less.
