Product features:

UrgoClean Ag
Non-woven dressing made of antimicrobial and hydroremediating polyacrylate fibres with micro-adhesive TLC-Ag wound healing matrix (Ag = silver salt).

• Strong and lasting antimicrobial efficacy against a broad spectrum of germs (gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria), including Staphylococcus aureus, MRSA, Streptococcus pyogenes, Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

• Absorption and entrapment of fibrinous coatings.

• Reduction of the bacterial population of a biofilm within 24 hours (tested in vitro on S. aureus and P. aeruginosa).

• Atraumatic and painless dressing change.

Indications:
Exuding chronic wounds (lower leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers) and acute wounds (burns, traumatic wounds, postoperative wounds) with the risk or signs of local infection.

Application:

• UrgoClean Ag can be cut with sterile scissors to fit the size of the dressing to the wound.

• Cover UrgoClean Ag with a secondary dressing adapted to the localisation and degree of exudation of the wound, if necessary (e.g. with UrgoSuperabsorber or UrgoSuperSuperabsorber).

• Fix UrgoClean Ag with a fixation bandage (e.g. Urgomull haft latexfrei or Urgoderm Stretch).

• UrgoClean Ag can also be used in combination with compression therapy (e.g. UrgoK2).

• Wear for 1 to 2 days.

• The maximum duration of treatment with UrgoClean Ag is one month.

Contraindications:
Known hypersensitivity to silver. Do not use UrgoClean Ag as a surgical dressing on heavily bleeding wounds. Do not use UrgoClean Ag in combination with hydrogen peroxide, organomercury antiseptics of hexamidine. Remove the dressing from this patient during magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examination.
