Axis was founded in 1984 with the goal of making the use of digital devices such as network servers smart and secure, similar to today's Internet of Things (IoT) or Internet of Things technology. This results in a broad product portfolio of professional network cameras and their accessories, video encoders, network video recorders (NVR), video management software, audio systems and various system elements such as equipment for physical access control.
