9 geeky last-minute Halloween costumes to make yourself
You've been invited to a Halloween party or want to scrounge sweets from the neighbours but don't have a costume yet? No problem at all. We have a few really nerdy ideas that you can make yourself.
The Halloween custom has long since spilled over from the USA. Television programmes full of horror films, games with Halloween specials, children on a candy raid and fancy dress parties mark the end of October. For all those who want to join in the celebrations at the last minute but don't have a suitable outfit, we present nine DIY solutions for geeks and nerds.
1. "Metal Gear Solid" box
Has style and it really doesn't get much faster. It might be a little hard on the back over time and it can also be a little tiring when drinking. But you can easily hide from uninvited acquaintances.
2. snapchat
This instantly makes you one of the cool kids and you can finally pretend to understand Snapchat.
3. 404 Error
IT humour for free. White shirt and a black pen and the outfit is ready.
4. Doc and Marty McFly
This costume works ideally with a partner. It's best to raid the local thrift shop. A waistcoat, coat and wig should be enough for the journey back to the future.
5. the Sims
Admittedly, the pixelated outfit is a bit more work than others. Alternatively, just make the green crystal and attach it with a wire. And if you like someone at a party, simply replace the crystal with a little heart.
6. shining
Red jacket with a chequered shirt underneath and a piece of wood and the Jack Nicholson outfit is complete. To match, you call out at irregular intervals: "Here's Johnny".
7th Xbox Box
If "Metal Gear Solid" doesn't appeal to you, you can also dress up as the Xbox box. Or rather the Xbox box box. Because the Xbox is in a green Xbox box and this in turn comes in a normal box.
8th X-Files
How about the cult agent duo from the nineties? A red wig, a couple of water pistols and two ID cards that you can quickly print out on paper. Still too much effort? Then just grab a couple of cigarettes and go as the mysterious smoker.
9th tracer
Don't have a clue who Mulder and Scully are? Then how about Tracer from "Overwatch"? Don't worry, a pair of yellow trainers, a pair of ski goggles and a bottle of toilet cleaner are all you need. So if that doesn't win you the costume prize, I don't know what will.
