Benedict and Svenja are our first apprentices

Svenja is 22 years old and has joined the German customer service team as an office management assistant. Her father is a loyal Galaxus customer. In fact, it’s thanks to him that she became aware of the position in Krefeld. The focus in her first year of apprenticeship includes learning the processes and gaining first-hand experience across all channels of communication. In addition to telephone and e-mail, this increasingly includes live chat, which only recently went online at Galaxus in Germany and Austria. Svenja: “I’m really looking forward to talking to Galaxus customers!”

Benedict (23) is learning our logistics from the ground up as a warehouse logistics specialist. To begin, the main goal is for him to gain insight into the digital processes of our warehouse logistics. Benedict’s family came across Galaxus through an acquaintance, which is how he ended up here. He already has some initial experience in logistics and is now focusing on the software at our company. Benedict: “I’m very excited to learn about online retail from the inside.”

Our cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry [Industrie- und Handelskammer, IHK] went very well and was worth the effort.”

Galaxus launched galaxus.at in Austria on 11 October. The Austrian market is currently supplied from Krefeld in Germany. Starting next year, we expect to be able to offer further apprenticeships in Krefeld. And we’re still looking for reinforcements in Hamburg and Krefeld right now: we have open positions both in Logistics and Customer Service as well as in other departments.
