Brand new: The Canon EOS 200D
The new entry-level SLR camera called the Canon EOS 200D comes with a touchscreen and optical viewfinder. This makes it particularly easy to operate the camera and you can look forward to beautiful shots.

Canon won't let you down: you can rely on simple menu guidance with tips and instructions. In addition, operation is made even easier with the rotating and swivelling touchscreen. So that you can always take the EOS 200D with you, Canon has made sure that it is particularly compact and light compared to other SLR cameras. From portraits to landscape shots or holiday photos - with the EOS 200D, you can capture any subject.
Rotatable and swivelling touchscreen for cool perspectives and selfies
The rotating and swivelling touchscreen makes the EOS 200D particularly easy to operate. Use the familiar finger movements from your smartphone. For example, you can focus with a single tap and release the shutter with another tap. The 3-inch touchscreen also shows you the menu navigation and practical tips and hints. It's not just operation that is easier. The rotating and swivelling display opens up completely new angles for your shots: hold the camera above your head and shoot from a bird's eye view. You can also hold the EOS 200D very close to the ground to make your subject look impressively large. Without a rotating and swivelling display, these perspectives either involve a lot of contortions or cannot be implemented at all. If you like, you can also turn the display all the way round and use the selfie mode.
Image quality and speed
The combination of intuitive menu navigation and technical specifications such as the 24.2 megapixel sensor, the high ISO value, the dual-pixel CMOS autofocus and the optical viewfinder make poor shots virtually impossible.
Shooting in low light and action
The EOS 200D doesn't need a flash to capture the most natural atmosphere possible in low light. You simply use a high ISO setting and take beautiful shots even in difficult light. Do you prefer to photograph subjects in action? That's no problem either. Up to five images per second in continuous shooting mode and fast and precise focussing with the fast Live View autofocus will support you here. Operation is also made easy here: you can focus both via the optical viewfinder and the touchscreen.
Full HD and time-lapse videos
The EOS 200D can also shoot videos. With its functions, you can rely on consistent focussing even with moving subjects. Your subject will always remain in focus, no matter how fast it moves. The EOS 200D also offers you the kind of beautiful background blur you know from the cinema. Is a normal video too boring for you? Then use the time-lapse function. This allows you to summarise long scenes in a short moment. The time-lapse function makes scenes in which things only change slowly more exciting.
Easy sharing and control with your smartphone
With Bluetooth, you can establish a permanent, wireless connection between the camera and your smartphone. You can also connect the EOS 200D to Wi-Fi. To do this, use the Canon Camera Connect App. This allows you to edit your images with your smartphone or tablet, share them with others or on social media and create a backup of your images. You can also view the camera image in real time with your smartphone, tablet, PC or Mac and control your recording remotely.
