Intel is presenting the first Tiger Lake H35 processors at this year’s CES. They’re designed for thin gaming notebooks and intended to be an alternative to AMD's Ryzen mobile processors.

Intel's new 11th Gen CPUs of the Tiger Lake H35 platform are an addition to the portable gaming range. Unlike the Tiger-Like U processors that were released in September, the new CPUs feature an increased TDP of 28 to 35 watts. With a single core boost of up to 5 GHz, Intel gives AMD's Ryzen 4000 CPUs a run for their money and is the performance winner for a moment. For a moment? Well, AMD will probably introduce the mobile Ryzen-5000 CPUs today.

The new processors are, in short, existing 11th Gen Tiger Lake processors with four Willow Cove cores and Iris XE graphics, which boast a TDP of 28 to 35 watts instead of 15 to 25 watts.

Here’s an overview of the first three H-35 SoCs that were presented. A total of 40 different devices by important OEMs with H35 SoC are supposed to be launched in the first half of the year.

The processors all support Thunderbolt 4, PCIe 4.0, Wi-Fi 6/6E, and DDR4-3200 (64 GB) and LPDDR4X-4266 (32 GB). Intel has also integrated Resizable BAR to improve memory management in interaction with Nvidia GPUs.

Since AMD will also introduce new mobile processors and Intel's mobile 45-Watt SoC with eight cores and multi-core 5 GHz boost is expected by the end of the first quarter of 2021, the market is expected to be particularly exciting this year.

I find my muse in everything. When I don’t, I draw inspiration from daydreaming. After all, if you dream, you don’t sleep through life.
