Fastest gaming monitor in the world has more than 500 hertz

Chinese display manufacturer BOE introduced the fastest gaming monitor with 500 Hertz+ over the weekend.
500 Hertz+ (Hz), 1 millisecond response time and a Full HD resolution on 27 inches. These are the most important key data of the new display, which Beijing Oriental Technology Group Co., Ltd. (BOE) presented over the weekend. This makes it the fastest gaming display in the world so far. This is reported by Wccftech.
The high refresh rate of 500 Hz+ is made possible by special LED array drivers and metal oxide semiconductors. This is also supposed to keep the power consumption low. By the way, the "+" stands for the fact that more than 500 hertz is possible with the display. How much more is not known. There are also a few other things that remain in the dark regarding the display. Neither how much it will cost, when it will be released, nor if it will ever be released outside of China.
Whether such high refresh rates are worthwhile is questionable anyway. Does the human eye even perceive differences between 300 and 500 Hz? If we ever get our hands on one of these, we'll try to answer the question.
