Find N2 Flip: Oppo's first flip phone

Oppo presented its first foldable mobile phone, the Find N2, back in December 2022. The foldable smartphone is now available in stores and all specifications are official.
In December 2022, Oppo left questions unanswered about the Find N2 Flip. Now the manufacturer has released all the information, along with the launch date - which is 15 February, unfortunately a day late for a Valentine's gift. I'll find out for you in a test whether it's worth buying. Until then, you can find the most important information here.

The hardware seems promising
At 4300mAh, the battery is larger than that of the current competition. The Motorola Razr 2022 has 3800mAh. Samsung is even further behind with the 3700mAh of the Galaxy Z Flip 4. The battery is said to charge in under an hour with the 44-watt power adapter supplied and should last over eleven hours when watching films and over six hours for video calls.
The processor is also exciting: Oppo has installed a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+. According to current benchmarks, the CPU is positioned between the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 and Gen2. It therefore promises good performance.
The cameras come from Sony and are powered by Hasselblad software: A 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle and a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

The three Ds: dimensions, design and display
The Flip is available in the colours Astral Black and Moonlit Purple and weighs 191 grams. This is roughly the same weight as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 at 187 grams and slightly lighter than Oppo's current flagship, the Find X5 Pro, at 218 grams.
Closed, the smartphone measures 85.5 mm × 75.2 mm × 16.02 mm. When unfolded, the thickness is halved and the length is doubled. The OLED display measures 6.8 inches when unfolded. It achieves a brightness of up to 1600 nits. On the closed front, there is a smaller 3.26-inch touch display in the same portrait format as the inner display.

Connectivity and other specifications
In addition to 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6 and NFC, the Find N2 Flip also offers space for two SIM cards. E-SIM is also supported. The smartphone can be unlocked using a fingerprint on the right-hand side and facial recognition.
Long warranty and update promise
Oppo is also trying to make a good case for the new flip phone with its price. The N2 is available in Switzerland for 999 francs. This is slightly below the entry-level prices of the flip competitors Samsung and Motorola. Only the 256 gigabyte memory variant is available without expansion via microSD. Due to the legal dispute with Nokia, it will not be available over the counter in Germany at present.
Oppo promises a three-year warranty as well as five years of security updates and four years of OS updates. The smartphone comes with the in-house Android version ColorOS 13 from the factory.
The Oppo Find N2 Flip will be available from 20 February 2023, you can find it right here: [[marketingpage:26412]]
