Online retailer Galaxus is expanding its range of video games, especially as digital downloads. Age-restricted video games are now also available, thanks to Galaxus' new age verification for downloads.
«Super Mario», «Minecraft» and «Legend of Zelda» are just some of the blockbusters to hit the virtual shelves at Galaxus. The newly available age-restricted games include «Fallout 76», «Tales from the Borderlands» and titles from the classic «Doom» series. They’re now available for download at galaxus.de. «Downloadable games are hot at the moment. More and more gamers are going for our digital offers. Classic game boxes are generally bought by collectors,» says Anne Limper-Menapace, Leader Category Management at Galaxus Germany.
Online retailer Galaxus is now also offering adult gamers age-restricted downloadable games. It goes without saying that this is in strict compliance with the Youth Protection Act. «Before buying an age-restricted game for download, customers need to upload their ID to their user account. Once customer service has verified their age, the transaction is processed and the ID information deleted in compliance with data protection laws,» Anne explains. All labels for age-restricted games are in the product specifications under USK (Entertainment Software Self-Regulation). Another new addition to the galaxus.de range is Xbox Game Passes. They offer six or twelve months of unlimited access to more than 100 games on the Xbox platform.
Galaxus Germany currently has 400 video games for Nintendo DS, Apple, PC, Playstation, SNES Classic, Switch, Wii and Xbox. And the selection is growing. Galaxus also offers PCs, game consoles, gamepads, computer mice, headsets and other gaming accessories, as well as gaming chairs and tables and merchandise from Nintendo, Disney, Marvel, DC, Ubisoft & Co.
