Heavy duty for your furry friend
When a husky’s coat changes, tufts of hair float throughout the home. In the video, you’ll learn how to tackle stubborn dog fur with heavy-duty hair brushes.
The most common question I get asked as a husky owner is: do huskies really lose so much fur?
The answer: oh yes.
Huskies shed their fur 365 days a year and in two phases of the year – especially in spring and fall. Why so?
Huskies need their undercoat for protection from cold and bad weather. Temperatures of minus 30 degrees don’t bother them. Their coat has two layers, a medium length top coat and an undercoat. Since our latitudes don’t get quite so cold weather in the winter and our summers are quite warm, it’s important to rid the dog of its undercoat.
Ok, so huskies have a lot of undercoat. Since they don’t need the undercoat in this country, it has to go. This means brushing, brushing, brushing... Basically, when huskies live in our latitudes, you should always pay attention to intensive grooming.
In the video above, I try my hand as a groomer and use the pet hair brush by AccuCell XCell. It should fit most vacuum cleaners from Dyson. Not mine, though.
