iOS 15 is arriving on Sept. 20: Apple announced its update ahead of schedule

After several months of public testing, iOS 15 is ready. Apple plans to release this major update for the iPhone operating system on September 20, 2021.
This year, we won’t be getting a big iOS update sprung on us. As an aside to its iPhone 13 launch, Apple revealed that iOS 15 will be available starting September 20. If your iPhone doesn’t offer you the update automatically, you can find it in the settings.
New notifications and Facetime with Android
Apple introduced iOS 15 in June at its developer conference WWDC. New features include Facetime with Android smartphones, Spatial Audio on video calls, the Focus app, gallery collages in Messages, more colourful notifications using icons, and more.
Dominik presented the innovations in this article (only in German):
Innovation, only for selected phones
iOS 15 will be available for all iPhones starting from the iPhone 6S. However, some improvements aren’t available on older devices. Their hardware just isn’t suitable for this. Apple would rather do without a handful of changes than annoy its users. They wouldn’t want an app to stop working properly on an iPhone 8, for example. However, you can still enjoy other new features that iOS 15 provides.
One new feature that has attracted particular interest from us is called Focus. It’s kind of like a custom launcher. With it you can create different home screens for a variety of purposes or occasions. All customisable by you. For example, you will see different apps for work than for leisure.

When I was but a young student, I'd sit in my friend's living room with all my classmates and play on his SuperNES. Since then I've had the opportunity to test out all the newest technology for you. I've done reviews at Curved, Computer Bild and Netzwelt, and have now arrived at Galaxus.de.
