iPhone 13 reported to boast three new camera features

Three new camera features are said to be part of the iPhone 13 innovations. Since there’s hardly anything to improve in terms of hardware, it would make sense that improvements are made to the software mainly.
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg claims to know about the three new camera features, but his claims haven’t been confirmed or denied by Apple. Two of the three new features apply to videos, not photos.
Portrait videos, ProRes and new styles
The blurred backgrounds in portrait photos have been an integral part of the smartphone world since 2016 and the iPhone 7 Plus. With the iPhone 13, the function will also be available for videos for the first time. Apple is supposed to call it «Cinematic Video» and its intensity can be adjusted afterwards, just like with photos.
The second new camera feature for videos is said to be support for the «ProRes» file format. Apple has been using it for its Final Cut Pro video editing software since 2007. Video files in this raw format would be significantly larger than the HEIF format that’s currently in use. The main advantages are in the post-processing of the videos. The new video format could be reserved exclusively for the Pro models, just like the ProRaw photo format for the iPhone 12.
We're also supposed to get more options for photo colour reproduction and highlights with the iPhone 13. As an example, the presets are supposed to provide warmer or colder colours, while the white remains neutral. Another «style» adds more contrast and deepens shadows, providing more drama. The third style, as is reported, is designed to reproduce shadows and lifelike colours. That sounds like filters. According to Bloomberg, however, these styles work differently and don’t just change the entire image, but only edit individual objects or people.
Otherwise, according to the rumours, the iPhone 13 is supposed to be very similar to the iPhone 12. The design is said to remain the same. Only the cameras on the back are reported to be rearranged and the notch around the front camera made smaller. The display is thought to boast a higher refresh rate and the A15 chipset is reported to provide more computing power. A 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini, a 6.1-inch iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro each, and a 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max are reported to be released.
Keynote on 14 September?
However, Apple will probably not reveal all details about the iPhone 13 until September. Currently, 14 September 2021 is considered a likely date for the iPhone keynote in Cupertino.

When I was but a young student, I'd sit in my friend's living room with all my classmates and play on his SuperNES. Since then I've had the opportunity to test out all the newest technology for you. I've done reviews at Curved, Computer Bild and Netzwelt, and have now arrived at Galaxus.de.
