Microsoft integrates Nvidia GeForce Now into its Xbox gaming sites
If you use Microsoft's Xbox gaming sites to stream games, you can now choose between two streaming platforms. In addition to Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nvidia's GeForce Now is now also available.
In February 2023, Microsoft and Nvidia agreed a ten-year partnership to bring PC games to the GeForce Now cloud gaming service. Since then, Nvidia's range of Game Pass titles has grown steadily. It is now even possible to synchronise games purchased from Microsoft or the Xbox account with GeForce Now.
And now comes the next step in the partnership: as you can see on the Header image, Microsoft is integrating GeForce Now into the game pages of xbox.com. Now you are no longer limited to Xbox Cloud Gaming and have a choice of supported titles. Depending on the server location, this can lead to a performance boost. What's more, provided you have the corresponding GeForce Now subscription, you'll get potentially better quality from Nvidia.
This means that Microsoft and Nvidia are taking another step towards a standardised ecosystem. At first glance, this may seem strange, as Microsoft is also torpedoing its own cloud gaming service. On the other hand, it helps to push the games - which in this case should make sense in the eyes of both the customer and the supplier. <p
