NEW Womanizer Premium: does it really guarantee an orgasm within minutes?

Climaxing effortlessly? Yup, that’s possible with the Womanizer, according to their fans around the world. The new Premium model of this popular sex toy has just launched and I got to test it out.

Unlike standard adult toys, the «Womanizer» is only designed for external use. Rather than inserting it into the vagina, you place it on the clitoris. The smooth waves of pressure stimulate this erogenous zone and are meant to create the orgasm. For a lot of my female friends, the whole process only takes a few minutes.

The first Womanizer I got was the «Womanizer Pro» and it has been my trusty friend for the last two years. Initially, I was rather sceptical but it soon changed my mind. So much so that I was thrilled when I heard I could test the new and hopefully even better «Womanizer Premium». I wanted to find out if the new version lived up to the hype.

Womanizer Pro at a glance

The packaging screams lifestyle product. It could just as likely be a high-end beauty balm as a pleasure toy. With great curiosity, I open the individually wrapped parts. Inside there’s a silk bag for storing the toy and keeping it clean between use. I also find a second, larger clitoris attachment and a magnetic charging cable.

I’ve come across this kind of charger before on another toy, and I didn’t have a great experience with it. The cable kept disconnecting so the charging was stop and start, which was quite annoying. The good news is this toy charges like a dream – cue sigh of relief. The only issue so far for me is the cable is just too short.

While the Womanizer charges up, I start leafing through the instructions. Incidentally, they’re easy to follow and nicely laid out.

Love at first caress

After just shy of two and a half hours, the Womanizer Premium was charged and ready to go. I was eager to try it out and see how it compared to its predecessor. The Premium version is ergonomically designed so it sits comfortably in your hand – it instantly looks more elegant.

The Womanizer now also features the kind of silicon surface I’m used to from other sex toys. They’ve finally got rid of that plastic that always bugged me about the Pro model. I love this new silky material so much I could caress it for hours!

But what I’m really excited about is the «smart silence» feature. This means the Womanizer doesn’t start until it touches the skin, even though you’ve already switched it on. And it works seamlessly. You don’t hear the faint but still detectable humming sound until I place the toy on my hand. It also seems to make less noise when you’re using it than the Womanizer Pro did.

In total there are twelve settings. I was amazed at how intense the highest and how gentle the lowest was. For me, that’s a big advantage over the Pro. With that toy you could tell the change in levels was a lot less subtle. And the highest and lowest levels weren’t as good (not as strong or as gentle) as the quality offered by the Premium.

Even the autopilot feature is promising. This setting on the Womanizer Premium changes the intensity levels for you at random. I’ll save testing and reporting on this feature for real-time use.

Our first time

When I first get intimate with the Womanizer Premium, I instantly notice the clitoral attachment is shaped differently. It’s more oval, bigger and not as round as on the previous model. This makes it difficult at first to find the right spot. It takes me a few minutes to get properly set up.

And of course, I try out all of the intensity levels straight away, even though I normally prefer a more gentle touch. As I noted in my initial test, the lowest setting is really gentle, while the highest is too intense for me. But if you like vigorous simulation, you’re bound to be impressed.

Wo-man, I’m really impressed by how quiet this is. It stops me getting frantic and instead I can just concentrate on myself. The minimal humming noise you get off the toy doesn’t bother me. In fact, I think the sound reduction is what I like most about the new Womanizer Premium.

The next thing I test is the autopilot feature. I’m already au fait with the concept from other brands of toys, and I like to use it regularly. But the anticipation I’d expected quickly vanished. I somehow envisaged the intensity levels changing at random in a slightly different way. There was no sense of surprise.

For one, I felt the autopilot setting was rather predictable. It also seemed to take too long for the level to change. This lady has got no patience for that! After two attempts I switched the toy back to the normal mode.

Verdict: are all orgasms equal?

Coming with the Womanizer was effortless, even if it takes me five or ten minutes longer than it does my girlfriends. But it has to be said the orgasm with the Womanizer feels much more intense than with other pleasure toys. I’d almost compare the feeling to a painful, sensual rush, as it takes time to build up.

I’ve never experienced it like that before. As far as I’m concerned the Womanizer Premium definitely lives up to its reputation. Although autopilot is the feature that gets a lot of hype, there are other positive aspects that outweigh it in my mind. These include the lovely surface feel, the noise level (or lack thereof) and well-designed intensity levels. That’s why I prefer it to the previous model, the Pro.

Oh, one more thing: according to the manufacturer, the Womanizer Premium is water resistant. Unfortunately I haven’t got round to testing it in the bath yet. If you do, let me know your feedback in the comments below.
