Tangem Ring
Now in the shop: The crypto wallet ring from Tangem
The ring is a hardware wallet and is used to release transactions with your cryptocurrencies.
Are you looking for an unusual hardware wallet for your crypto? Then you might be interested in the ring from Tangem. It is a hardware wallet with NFC antennas and a chip on which your private key is stored. According to Tangem, the ring is functionally identical to the Tangem wallets in card form, only the shape is different: you wear it on your finger or on a chain. We have the ring in ring sizes eight to twelve in our range.
How does the ring work?
During activation, the ring's inbuilt chip generates a random private key. The private key is stored on the ring and the two Tangem cards supplied. There are no other copies of the key. The cards therefore serve as a backup for the ring.
You need your private key to sign crypto transactions. To use it, remove the ring and hold it to your smartphone. Hardware wallets such as the Tangem ring are considered particularly secure because they have no access to the internet.
The ring is also EAL6+ CC-certified. This is an international standard for assessing the security of IT products. The EAL6+ level is even more secure than EAL6, which is highly resistant to sophisticated attacks and is used in security-critical areas.
The ring is also designed to offer a high level of physical security: It is dustproof and waterproof in accordance with protection class IP68 and is said to be highly resistant to scratches and temperatures, according to the manufacturer. It works at temperatures between -25 and +50 °C. The ring is 7.8 to eight millimetres wide and is made of hypoallergenic zirconium oxide ceramic. This material is also used to make dentures.
Functions of the Tangem app
In the app for Android and iOS, you can track the progress of thousands of cryptocurrencies and access analysis data. This should make it easier for you to decide whether and where to invest. You can also use the app to swap, buy and sell cryptos. Your transactions are approved using the Tangem ring.
