Libratone Track Air+: competition for the Sony WF-1000XM3?
by Livia Gamper
The corona crisis has done the rest for Libratone. The audio manufacturer filed for insolvency at the beginning of May and is now looking for a new buyer.
According to Danish media reports, the speaker and headphone manufacturer Libratone recently had to file for bankruptcy.
The audio experts from Denmark have been around since 2009, but were apparently already in crisis in 2014 and the company was sold to a group of investors. However, this no longer helped, as Libratone was always in the red. With the coronavirus crisis and the associated losses, the company had to file for insolvency on 6 May.
A pity. The manufacturer has brought some interesting audio products onto the market. With good sound and a simple, unobtrusive design, the Danes were able to win over many listeners.
Now Libratone is looking for new owners. Despite the current crisis, it is assumed that a buyer will be found soon.
Those who currently contact Libratone directly will no longer receive support. Claims can be entered in the insolvency portal of the Bech-Bruun company.
With a new buyer, however, the problem of warranty services should be solved anyway. I hope the company can continue to sell its fancy products with the bird. <p
