The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will not get a version with 1 terabyte of storage. Leaker Roland Quandt claims that and believes to know the prices of the upcoming flagships.
Leaker Roland Quandt believes he knows the prices of the Samsung Galaxy S22 phones and their model configurations. In a tweet, the editor for WinFuture.de writes: "Whoever said that the S22 will be cheaper did not count on Covid, the chip shortage and inflation".
He quotes the prices in euros, but franc prices can be roughly calculated from that.
The rate at press time was 1 EUR = 1.04 CHF.
A look at the past shows that the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra with 256 GB of internal storage cost 1299.00 francs on digitec.ch at launch on January 29, 2021. Adjusted for inflation, the upcoming Ultra would cost 1306.79 francs today with an inflation rate of 0.6 percent. Thus, the price of the S22 Ultra would be slightly lower than the price of the predecessor. However, since no smartphone will cost thirteen hundred and six francs and seventy-nine centimes each in stores, the question arises: 1299 francs or 1349 francs?
