With the "Steam Airfryer Dual Basket", Philips offers an airfryer with two chambers (six litres and three litres) that uses steam in addition to hot air.

You can switch on the steam when "frying" with hot air or use it separately. The 38.25 × 44.39 × 35.17 centimetre appliance has three different steam functions:

• Steam cooking: Instead of cooking vegetables in boiling water, many professional kitchens rely on steam cooking. This preserves the nutrients, vitamins and texture. Philips also promises the same effect with its appliance. You can also use the function to gently reheat already cooked food.
• Combination of hot air and steam: According to the manufacturer, the additionally activated steam prevents food from drying out during "deep-frying" and also protects it from browning too quickly.
• Steam cleaning: A cleaning programme is said to loosen grease deposits in the cooking baskets or the heating element and make cleaning easier.

The baskets have a non-stick coating and can be put in the dishwasher.

Two synchronised chambers

You can synchronise the cooking times of the two chambers. This means that two dishes or a main course with its side dishes should be ready at the same time.

The 8.8-kilogram appliance offers a total of twelve presets, which you can choose from via a touchscreen.
