Wet cleaning hard floors without a bucket and wringing? That's exactly what the 'OneUp' from Philips promises.

The mop from Philips is no different to a conventional floor mop in terms of handling. You move it over hardwood, tiles or laminate as usual - without electrical vibrations.

The special feature of the appliance is that the dirty water is sucked up from the floor.

Fresh and dirty water are separated

Before cleaning, fill the 320-millilitre tank with fresh water and the special cleaner. The appliance then ensures that the mop pad remains evenly moist. One tank filling should be enough for around 50 square metres.

The motor sucks the dirty water from the floor into a separate tank. The manufacturer points out that you should remove coarse dirt (such as spilt muesli or pet food) with the hoover first.

When you have finished, empty the dirty water tank and rinse it out once. Your hands will not come into contact with the dirt.

Flexible cleaning without a cable

According to the manufacturer, the integrated battery lasts up to 70 minutes and is designed to clean up to 125 square metres. An integrated display shows the charging status. It is charged via a USB cable, which can be connected to your smartphone charger, for example.

The mop pad is connected to the style via a swivel joint. This should allow the mop to be guided particularly flexibly and fit better under cupboards. The "OneUp" fits under cabinets with at least ten centimetres of floor clearance and works close to the edge like a conventional mop. The reworking that is often necessary with other electric floor cleaners is therefore no longer necessary.

Care and maintenance

The cleaning pad is machine washable and should last up to six months. You will need the Philips cleaning concentrate for mopping. According to the manufacturer, one bottle is sufficient for up to 40 cleaning cycles
