Tom Clancy's The Division - if society falls, we rise
Tom Clancy is your great-uncle, so to speak? Your thought processes are more tactical than those of a Russian secret service veteran? And you're a secret fan of New York City? Then The Division is the game for you!
The gripping new online action role-playing game is finally playable for every fan after a closed and an open beta.
The release date of this game has been pushed back what feels like fifty times. First announced by Ubisoft at E3 in Los Angeles in 2013 (!) and countless gameplay videos later, the time has finally come. The 8th March 2016 has been marked bold in some calendars, but will not immediately go down in gaming history.
We have already played The Division in the beta stages and were able to get our own impression of it. Rough conclusion: You'll have more fun playing with a few friends than if you were to roam the streets of New York alone! The game allows you to create groups with up to three other friends to fight together against the outbreak of the pandemic. The third-person view offers an unusual new way to play, as the cover system makes tactical movement on the field unique and, it should be noted, brings certain advantages!
Countless missions await you, from hostage-taking to the usual story missions and interceptable echoes that lead to further side missions. Also waiting in the dangerous Dark Zone are so-called PVP battles (Player vs. Player) with legendary items and weapons that you have to earn first! The extensive skill system will require a few hours of play before you can fully utilise it. But that's exactly why the fun remains constant!
New York City awaits your arrival!

The digital world already had me firmly in its grip back in the day when I was training to be a computer engineer. So it goes without saying that I was also soon exposed to the web and social media – two things that are now very much part of my daily life. My face tan is one thing that has nothing to do with PC or smartphone screens. It’s a tell-tale sign of my love for the mountains and paragliding: #offline.
