Which beauty brands are you missing in our shop? These are my top 5

Galaxus has pretty much everything. But our range is currently lacking these five beauty brands. Here’s what I’d love to see introduced.

Over the last few years, many new beauty brands have been added to the Galaxus range. Some of them were once high up on my wish list: Danessa Myricks, Sol de Janeiro and Nude Stix, to name but a few. Now I’m hoping for the following brands to be available here at some stage.

Amuse

When our fashion editor Stephanie Vinzens showed me her hand cream a while ago, I almost fell off my chair. The Vegan Soy Bean Hand Cream from the Korean brand Amuse was more of a design object than a skincare product. Did I mention how nice it feels on your skin? So I took a mental note of it and came across a counter of the brand during a trip to Japan. I picked out a cushion foundation to take back home, and still absolutely love it. I definitely want to see more of Amuse and try more of its products. Not least because its creations strike a beautiful balance between fun forms and function.

Gisou

Negin Mirsalehi knows how to stage products. With Gisou, the Dutch influencer and beekeeper has launched a beauty line with skincare products containing honey from the family’s own bee garden. Mirsaleh and her father are representing the sixth generation running their honey farm. With its dusty-pink design and sustainability aspect the brand likes to emphasise, Gisou has nailed the spirit of the current clean-girl aesthetic. Its hair oil, hair perfumes and lip oils are particularly popular (also in my home).

Le Monde Gourmand

Can you love a brand before holding its products in your hands? Absolutely! My infatuation with Le Monde Gourmand is proof. The names of its fragrances alone strike a chord with me. Pumpkin Crème, Fraise Fouettée, Pistachio Brûlée, Sucre de Coton, anyone? Whoa, take it easy, I need to catch my breath! Not to mention all those positive social media reviews that are giving me massive FOMO. After all, the fragrances are currently not available in Switzerland.

Makeup by Mario

It took me a while to warm to the make-up line of Mario Dedivanovic – Kim Kardashian’s personal make-up artist. Its simple, white design looked boring and off-putting to me. However, I soon realised that all the more love and money has gone into the product. As it should be. The nifty thing about Makeup by Mario? While it’s primarily aimed at professional make-up artists, it also appeals to the masses. With a colour palette that’s on the neutral side and innovative formulas that play into the hands of inexperienced make-up users, it’s currently my first port of call when it comes to make-up.

Paula’s Choice

Paula Begoun gets to the heart of skincare. The founder of skincare brand Paula’s Choice relies on scientifically sound active ingredients and a lot of awareness-raising. There’s something for everyone. Prefer using fruit acid as a toner? No problem. Are you into gel-like textures? Sure thing. You’ll even find different dosages and combinations of active ingredients to suit your skin type. The brand isn’t reluctant to share its specialist knowledge either. Its Beautypedia contains important information on the individual ingredients and how they work.

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
