- Very high colour fidelity and high contrast
- still almost 10 hours running time.
- 60 Hz display only
- Maximum brightness is a little low
- still expensive as a new device.
Well-aged: The 12 series is still a powerful smartphone, but rarely available new.
- Display is not too big and not too small
- fast
- good camera
- Display not very bright
- No telephoto lens
- No cinema mode for video
The iPhone 12 is indistinguishable from the iPhone 13 from the front. Its OLED screen also shines with strong contrasts and colours. However, the brightness is only average, which can be annoying in direct sunlight. But with its enormously high working speed, the iPhone 12 trumps even the latest Android smartphones. The camera delivers good pictures, but it cannot provide zoom shots.
- Processor just as fast as Pro models
- Display dark
- Selfies moderate
- weak zoom photos
The Galaxy S21 Ultra sets new standards among smartphones in zoom photography. The enormously sharp and bright display is also impressive. However, it is not enough to get past the test winner iPhone Pro and Pro Max. They are clearly ahead in terms of battery and have hardly any weaknesses overall...
- Design, feel and workmanship are absolutely top class
- High-luminosity OLED
- powerful SoC
- Comprehensive connectivity with 5G, WiFi 6, Dual SIM
- Intuitive operating system with long-term update support
- long battery life
Update in November: 16 new mobile phones in comparison New in Stiftung Warentest's mobile phone test: ?16 current smartphones. Among them are Samsung's new entry-level model, the Samsung Galaxy A31, Huawei's and Wiko's bestsellers, the Huawei Y5P and Wiko Y81, as well as the Motorola Moto G8 Power and the expensive top model, the Huawei P40 Pro Plus...
At least until the release of the Pro Max on 13 November, the iPhone 12 Pro is the best smartphone Apple has built so far. With 5G, a good camera, a bright, high-contrast display, record-breaking speed and long battery life, it even overtakes the tough Android competition to reach the top of the list...
