The Asus ZenDrive U9M is an ultra-slim external DVD burner that supports both USB Type-C and USB Type-A. It comes with two cables for data transfer with PC and Mac. The high-quality, Zen-inspired design features fine, concentric circles that showcase how beautiful technology can be. Compared to hard drives, flash storage, and other writable media that have a lifespan of about 8 years, the M-DISC writing technology engraves data into a patented stone-like layer that can withstand extreme environmental conditions, allowing for the storage of lifelong memories and important data for over 1,000 years.

Das war knapp: Der Asus ZenDrive SDRW-08U9M-U siegte in diesem Vergleichstest: Er bot das höchste Tempo, arbeitete schön leise und sieht auch noch schick aus. Für 15 Euro weniger gibt es den Preis- Leistungs-Sieger: Der Gembird DVD-USB-03-BW Externer DVD- Brenner werkelt zwar beim Brennen und Abspielen etwas lauter als der Testsieger, leistete sich in den restlichen Prüfungen aber keine großen Schwächen.

Trotz kurzer Leitung: Der ebenfalls bei Amazon gehandelte Amicool GT31 L errang den ersten Platz. In der Summer sind aber neun der zehn geprüften Brenner empfehlenswert, weil die Unterschiede größtenteils sehr gering sind. Nur vom Billigheimer Iamotus GSA-T50N sollten Kunden die Finger lassen.
