The memory foam ear pads and floating headband design without pressure points provide excellent wearing comfort, while the robust, aluminium-reinforced construction ensures years of durability. Connect via USB either wired to PC for 24-bit/96 kHz sound or wirelessly to PC, PS5 and PS4. - Good microphone
- orderly sound
- many adjustment possibilities
- Somewhat uncomfortable
- Stubborn microphone
- somewhat short running time
No headset tested was able to locate opponents more reliably than the Corsair HS80 RGB Wireless. And the microphone also transmits your own words well. However, no headset tested was more uncomfortable and emptied faster than the Corsair. There are also deductions for the somewhat weak sound. All in all, however, the headset is good fun for the price.
The convincing HS80 was one of my all-time favourites among gaming headsets about two years ago, but the new Corsair HS80 Max improves once again in all areas in the tested, and sometimes significantly. This makes it one of the best wireless headsets on the market. Especially from a sound perspective and in terms of wearing comfort, there is absolutely nothing to complain about...

- Good microphone quality
- Fast, stable wireless transmission
- Compatible with PS4 & PS5
- Bass in the standard profile a little too lukewarm
- Moderate noise shielding
The test of the Corsair HS80 RGB Wireless shows that it is a comfortable wireless gaming headset that surprises with a good microphone quality and transmits the sound almost latency-free. In addition, it can also be used on the PS4 and PS5 without a cable. Only the bass should be turned up manually and the noise shielding could be better...
- Good microphone
- All kinds of setting options
- Sound with room for improvement
- somewhat uncomfortable
The Corsair HS80 RGB Wireless headset owes its test victory primarily to the good recording quality, the many functions and setting options as well as the high-quality workmanship. However, at a price of almost 150 euros, more would have been expected in terms of sound quality.

- Solid build quality
- Microphone sounds better than some competitors
- Dolby Atmos sound
- PS5 compatibility
- Requires two pieces of software
- Few size adjustment options
- powerful, solid gaming sound
- decent comfort
- solid battery life
- decent microphone
- Voice announcements
- Own EQ profiles and presets possible
