Don't be fooled by the Pro in the name and the ample RAM: The HTC U23 Pro doesn't play in the professional league, but up to 400 euros it holds its own really well. It didn't have any weaknesses during the test and, apart from its special Metaverse skills, it has a pleasant feel and comprehensive features.

With the U23 pro, HTC has brought a rock-solid smartphone onto the market. The display and camera are good and the performance is also high enough for problem-free everyday use. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not offer an adaptive refresh rate and the update period for the software is far too short.

When tested, the HTC U23 Pro impressed with its excellent features and solid performance. The OLED display also scores with good brightness and vibrant colours. This results in a nice overall picture. However, it is not enough to compete in the upper class. This would require a slightly more powerful battery, a better camera and generally higher-quality technology...
