Product details
The Kingston IronKey Keypad 200 is an operating system-independent, hardware-encrypted USB drive featuring an alphanumeric keypad for easy PIN access. The KP200 utilizes hardware-based XTS-AES 256-bit encryption. It is also certified to FIPS 140-3 Level 3 (pending) for military-grade security and includes enhancements that further increase data privacy. The circuitry is coated with a special epoxy layer that makes it nearly impossible to remove components without damaging them; this durable epoxy prevents attacks on the semiconductor components. The drive is designed to be tamper-evident to alert the owner. Additionally, it offers protection against brute-force password attacks and BadUSB threats with digitally signed firmware. The alphanumeric keypad is covered with a polymer layer that protects the keys and conceals their usage by preventing fingerprint analysis on the keys.
The KP200 features a built-in battery that allows the drive to be unlocked initially without software and then connected to any device that supports USB Mass Storage Type A. This provides users with maximum flexibility across various platforms and operating systems.
The drive also offers two levels of write protection modes - a global mode that can be set by the administrator and a session-only mode that can be set by the user. Write-protected modes can safeguard the drive from malware on untrusted systems. Furthermore, the administrator can load content and set the global write protection mode, allowing the user to access the data but preventing any modifications.
