It is suitable for use in both home studios and smaller professional mixing rooms. The 80 W Class AB power amplifier delivers outstanding studio sound. The speaker has a 5.25 inch woven composite woofer for rich bass and a 1 inch silk dome tweeter for controlled high frequency reproduction. The open cabinet maximises the bass response and ensures that the speaker can go down to 48 Hz without a subwoofer. The various connections offer flexible connection options. Mixing consoles or interfaces can be connected via the 6.35 mm jack input and XLR input, while gaming systems or other hi-fi devices can be connected via the RCA input. The specially developed EBM waveguide in the upper section offers outstanding high-frequency reproduction and a wide horizontal dispersion pattern of 120 degrees. This achieves an optimum effect (sweet spot). The narrow vertical dispersion behaviour reduces reflections that can occur when a monitor is placed in a corner or close to a wall. In addition, the silk dome tweeter ensures fast and precise transient reproduction. The Acoustic Tuning controls provide controls for Low Cut, Mid, High and a three-way Acoustic Space tuning to always adapt the sound to the respective environment. The speaker is equipped with numerous protective devices and offers protection against RF interference, overload, overheating, transients and infrasound.
