You can use the Apple USB-C Power Adapter 30W with the iPhone 15 Pro. Here are some important points:
- The adapter uses a USB-C port that is compatible with the iPhone 15 Pro.
- It offers a power output of 30W, which is sufficient for fast charging of the iPhone.
- Apple recommends such adapters for fast charging of their devices, including the newer iPhone models.
It is therefore safe and efficient to use this charger for your iPhone 15 Pro.
Yes, use the original Apple cable supplied for full performance with a Pro or Pro Max iPhone 15, but you can also use any USB cable.
Noticeably faster charging.
According to the information on Apple's website, this adapter works with a USB-C cable and is listed as compatible with a MacBook Air (M2, 2022).
Yes, that is not a problem, because a smartphone will only draw as much current from the charger for charging as is good for the battery. The smartphones have electronics in the battery that can communicate with the charger, so nothing breaks :).
The adapter does work. But it will take a long time to charge the MacBook Pro and the adapter will certainly get very hot. The problem is the low wattage. Apple recommends the following power adapters depending on the size of your MacBook Pro:
13-inch MacBook Pro: 61W USB-C Power Adapter (Apple USB-C Power Adapter (61 W))
15" MacBook Pro: 87W USB-C Power Adapter (I didn't find this at Galaxus)
16" MacBook Pro: 96W USB-C Power Adapter (I didn't find this at Galaxus)
That's right, you don't get a cable for it. But why buy an Apple USB-C charger when for just a few francs more you can buy a charger that can even charge at 100 watts, understands everything from Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, notebooks and so on, uses the latest and most modern technology, produces less waste heat? :)
It's hardly bigger than Apple's and can do so much more.
Minix NEO P2 (100W, Quick Charge 3.0, Power Delivery 3.0, GaN Technology)
And this is another alternative, which costs even less than Apple's, but can still charge two devices, also has the latest technology on board and this time is even much smaller than the alternatives:
Baseus GaN Laptop Charger (65W, Quick Charge 4.0, Power Delivery 3.0)
