I think so, because it is recognised by the bios like an internal drive and is also assigned a drive letter. I would say at system startup simply press (for Asus it is F12) to get to the boot menu, if it is listed there you can also use it to install. I myself only install via USB stick. Must have at least 16 GB for Windows 10. The boot stick can be easily created using the Windows Media Creation Tool.

Yes, that would work. But there is a simpler way that only requires a USB stick. With the "Media Creation Tool" from Microsoft, you can create a USB stick with which you can also install Windows 10.
