Get the Beyerdynamic MMX 300 2nd gen.
Hello I switched from an Astro A40 to the Beyerdynamic MMX 300.2 and was thrilled. Tracking was no problem across the spectrum. I use the sound card installed on my ASUS MoBo, SonicSuite 3 software from ASUS and activated Dolby Atmos in Windows 10. I also created a preset myself in the SonicSuite 3 equaliser. The sound quality is 1A, and as I said, localisation is no problem. The microphone is also flawless in terms of voice quality. I can only recommend the headset. If on-board sound is used, you can get even more out of it with additional software. Tip (Chargeable, but free for a few days for testing: - Beyerdynamic's own software, where you send in a photo of your ear and an audio profile is created based on it, which individually increases sound quality and spatial awareness (I tried it myself and it worked). - Bongiovi DPS Big plus: ear pads and headband can always be reordered and replaced (especially practical for me as a wearer of a "flesh cap" :-) ).
Hello I wouldn't do this, because 7.1 in the headphones won't do you any good... The headphones physically only have stereo drivers... What I would recommend, however, is a sound card itself. I bought this headset together with a fiio e10k and I'm happy as a clam. LG
The headset has a separate 3.5 mm jack connection for the microphone and for stereo audio.
Thank you very much for waiting! We have clarified this with our supplier, unfortunately the Custom MMX300 headsets are only intended for end customers directly from Beyerdynamic (and unfortunately only as you mentioned, Germany) :( We can therefore not procure the desired version.
Unfortunately, we currently have no information on when this headset will be back in stock.
Hello, We currently have no information regarding the availability of the MMX 300 PRO. Our supplier has not listed it, so we don't know when or if it will be available in the future.
As the product is currently on backorder, we unfortunately have no information on availability at the moment.
I don't think the microphone is that good. The volume can be adjusted using the rotary wheel in the cable. This changes the impedance. But the headphones are still rather high impedance. Perhaps the Xbox has too weak an amplifier? On my PC with the built-in ASUS audio chip, the sound is perfect.
You can connect the headset directly to the laptop/PC.
You're welcome, I tried it on my 2023 MacBook Pro 14". It works without any problems. I also tried this on my iPhone. Had no problem, everything works great. And by the way, the headset is TOP. I'm very happy with it, I can highly recommend it to you, it's mega comfortable.
I don't understand why you see a difference between a (separate?) sound card and the onboard sound chip? To connect the headphones you need a 3.5mm audio output. This is provided on the back of the mainboard. Page 59 / 2-23 https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1700/PRIME_Z690-A/G18708_PRIME_Z690-A_UM_WEB.pdf
No. Every mainboard today, especially gaming mainboards, have good onboard sound processors built in from the factory. I'm sure yours does too! I use my MX300 without an internal or external sound card.
You can probably only operate these headphones at medium volume with your onboard sound card. The headphones will then be too quiet for you.
Hello It works. Too quiet for me personally, I'd have to get an external sound card. Otherwise top quality.
ich abs am EPOS GSX 1000 (USB-DAC)
I had partly the same problem, after 2 weeks I returned everything.
Yes I can confirm they are available since I bought the replacemente part few weeks ago.
If you have a connection for headphones and mic then yes. Connection only with 3.5mm cable. Either separately (2 plugs) or like a mobile phone headset with a combination plug.
No, I don't have that problem. I would send it to digitec.
Yes, the headphone has an impedance of only 32 ohms. It can be operated efficiently even without a headphone amplifier.
Salü, Can only recommend the headphones, although there are two "negative" points to mention: - The headphones are warm in winter, but in warmer days it's not so pleasant --> a matter of taste. - My team colleagues, with whom I communicate via Skype or Teams, hear every beep. At least for me, nothing at all is filtered through the microphone or the software. Of course, it would be nice not to filter out the speech, but the rest would. Otherwise, 1A and I haven't had a more comfortable headset yet.
Yes, any headset that has a separate headphone and mic plug (some come with a second cable), but I highly recommend the mmx300. Have mmx300 and g6
Had the same problem until I noticed the volume adjustment wheel on the cable ;-)
No, it does not need a separate sound card. Your mainboard is enough. I've had it for a year and I'm very satisfied!
Sound loss is probably not really a problem. However, the MMX300 does not have a detachable microphone, which is rather impractical when travelling. A Beyerdynamic Custom Game with a removable mic might be a better choice.
