Hello Andrea, The VC-500 is not designed for these quantities and would definitely go to its knees at 100 labels. After only 10 labels at a time, printing becomes very slow and it needs longer and longer cool-down phases.

Hoi, it also works for me after x labels.... I have many colours. Your problem is not known to me after years. Have you changed the roll? Maybe there is a problem here or the printer is defective.

It's only happened to me once. You have to remove the roller at the back and put it right back on. The printer updates itself. No need to switch off or anything. My printer works very well. I'm very happy with it.

See above under "Download" in "Technical Data Sheet": Included in delivery: CZ-1004 (25mm label roll), CK-1000 (cleaning cartridge), AC adapter, power cable, USB cable, documentation. (and of course the Brother VC-500W in addition).

I don't think so, because the printer does not print with a specific medium. Actually, it works like a thermal printer, which in this case activates certain colour crystals on the print medium through certain heat. Whether a different thermal print roll is compatible would have to be tested. The next problem would be the feed because the label roll would also have to fit.

Grüetzi Alex, I am not sure if I understand the first question correctly. The ribbons are "endless" and available in different widths. So if you want a round label, for example, it still has to be cut out. I don't know the answer to the second question - maybe ask the manufacturer directly?
