Can you explain to me what "Dual" means?

This is a mistranslation which implies WQHD, i.e. that the docking supports a resolution of 2560 x 1440 px. Resolution: 1 display - 1x HDMI → up to 2560×1440/50Hz 1 display - 1x DVI → up to 2048×1152/60Hz 2 displays - 1x HDMI + 1x DVI → up to 2x 2048×1152/60Hz

It should work with a USB hub, connection to USB C on the PC and a hub with USB A 3.0 connections. It works for me with the Logilink Hub 3.0. 1xUSB C / 3 x USB, 1 x USB C. However, I don't need this USB hub to connect the docking station, which I can connect directly to the USB A 3.0 port on my PC.

Good day The docking station must be connected to a USB-A. The USB-A indicates the connector shape. USB2 or USB3 indicates the transfer speed. You can connect the docking to a USB2 (480Mbit/s) or USB3 (5Gbit/s). With USB2, the connected devices will hardly run "fluently". I recommend connecting the docking to a USB3. (USB-C is not supported)

I don't have a Surface Pro 4, I only have Lenovo, Asus and hp laptops and on all models with a USB3.0 port, this docking station works perfectly. In fact, there is a graphics card in the docking station that supports one display connected via HDMI or DVI, or even two displays (I haven't tested this). This graphics card is added to the laptop's internal graphics card and can be found in the device manager under the name USB3.0 Dual Video Dock. In addition to the display connections, there are 2 USB 3.0 ports on the front, one of which provides fast charging for smartphones, 4 "normal" USB ports on the back, an RJ-45 socket for fixed Ethernet, a microphone socket and a headphone socket. Frankly, given that the Surface Pro 4 is running Windows 10 and I've checked for a USB 3.0 port, recognisable by the blue plastic in the socket, I can't see why it wouldn't work.

Hello, Yes, using this docking station is very easy. DisplayLink drivers are already part of Windows 10 - so you don't need to install anything. (It is still recommended to install drivers (just in case), but if everything works, it is not needed). When you connect your devices to the docking station, you only need to connect the docking station to any laptop for everything to work. If you have any further questions, you can contact our technical support directly. Unfortunately, I can't answer this question because I don't have a Macbook. I can only say that the Dockin Station works perfectly with the supplied cable (notebook connection type A). If the connection cable should also be available in the type C version (possibly sold separately), it should work, as it is actually the same interface. Sorry that I can't help you any further!

Hello, No, the product cannot do this. Your integrated graphics card must be able to provide the resolution. This is just a docking solution that routes the signal via Usb to other interfaces. It is not a usb graphics card.

Hello, Thank you for your question. No, this docking station cannot charge a laptop - it uses an older chipset that does not support this. However, if you check CADUAL4KDOCKPD and / or CADUA4KDCOKPDL, these two docking stations work with the same technology but use a newer chipset and can charge your laptop - as long as your laptop's USB-C port supports it. If you have any further questions, you can contact our technical support directly: support@itecproduct.com Kind regards i-tec team --------------------- Hello, Thank you for your question. Yes, drivers can always be downloaded from the manufacturer's website: https://i-tec.cz/en/produkt/u3hdmidvidock-2/ (at the bottom of the page there is a link to "Manual, Drivers", where you can download the drivers. Yes it is windows 10 compatible. (see also manufacturer page, Win 10 is in the list).
