Apart from purely GPS/Glasoss/Gallileo based, I know nothing. The 25Ghz network in DACH was only introduced a few years ago.
For me, I just plugged it into the power and then connected it via the app and that was it.
I have two of these trackers. They only send their location to my app every 5 minutes (shortest settings in minutes). But only when the trackers are really moving. That's why the battery lasts forever 😃

when we bought it, we read on the company website, that the swiss device would not work in France, and that a french Invoxia device would not work in Switzerland. I guess the device would just not give any "gps" points while traveling in the other country. This was not a problem for us. We are very happy with the device in Switzerland. It works well (at least in Geneva area), and battery hold for a pretty long time.
