Nope. These speakers are an « extension » for the LG Soundbar. They’re not standalone.
Compatible with the following Soundbars SL10YG, SL9YG, SL8YG, SL6YF, SL5Y, SL4Y, SK10Y, SK9Y
I bought the Vogels VLB 500 with it...
In my opinion, the spk8 is an add-on module for the soundbar. In my case, the Sly5. So I have not operated the spk8 on its own. I can't imagine that the LG has a transmitter that corresponds with the spk8 as the sly5 does.

I also have an LG 65' Oled TV but I also have an LG SN9Y sound bar and the SPK8 speakers are connected in Bluetooth with this one... so I don't know if it is possible to connect only the rear speakers
I don't use stands, but have placed the speakers on a plinth behind the sofa. Personally, I find that the two speakers enhance the surround effect very well. I was only not satisfied with the soundbar and the bass. Now I really enjoy 5.1 action films again. Of course, it may be that the two speakers do not reach peak values from a measurement point of view, but I am satisfied so far and have fun with the system.
No. There are no fixing plates. However, you can see one small metal hole at the bottom and one at the back of each box. They could perhaps be used for small screws or nails, which could somehow serve as wall fixings. However, I have not tried whether it works or not.
Works perfectly :)
