The Thunderbolt 3 version of the Thunderbay 4 mini is compatible with macOS 10.12 or newer. Therefore, it will also work with OSX 10.12.6 as long as you have the appropriate ports and adapters to make the connection.

I think the fan is rather noisy, when owrated in otherwise quiet room. I am running it in an environment with a new M1 MacMini, which does not have a fan at all. As the OWC was the only source of noice in my office, I decided to relocate it to the room across the wall. The fan runs all the time and at constant speed.

So that after 2 days they can advertise with a 25% discount promotion.... Ridiculous.

Have not measured the speed, but ist recognised as Thunderbolt 2 on a MacBook Pro Second port is for daisy chain

The fan is quite audible and runs permanently.

This configuration provides data transfer at Thunderbolt 2 speeds (up to 20Gb/s) but does not support notebook charging.
