Yep. Will avoid Digitec for pre-orders for the rest of my life. Same shit with the Pulse 3D headset. Was shown as available. After ordering as delivery status -> no details. Customer service rep then tells me they have 800 more orders than actual stock. HOW hard can it be to only allow the quantity that is actually available? A cheek!

CONFIRMED! Ordered today at FUST.ch...delivered tomorrow by 9am! I just got the mail from FUST that my Ps5 is on its way. I wanted a digital edition, but now I ordered the disc edition for 499,-. And lo and behold...it will be delivered tomorrow. I don't want to say anything but Digitec...for what you have done to us PRE-orderers, no excuse is good enough. All I could do is cancel the entire order including equipment "for free"...and I have just done that. Thanks Fust.ch:*

Yeah, where's your PS5? The fact that there are not significantly more goods has a number of reasons that can only be blamed to a limited extent on the manufacturer and certainly not on the retailers, who in turn are confronted with angry customer reactions. Decisive factors are a glaring chip and component shortage, an enormous global demand for consumer electronics and exploding freight costs between Asia and Europe due to the pandemic. For example, shipping a container from China to Germany cost $1,500 just a few months ago, but now it costs $5,000. Experts believe that even five-digit tariffs are possible. In addition, containers are in short supply: in some cases, companies have to wait months for free capacities. Not only console manufacturers are affected by this: The production and delivery of cars, refrigerators and smartphones is also crippled, and in some sectors the assembly lines are at a standstill. The sell-outs are simply the result of high demand and limited supply. Digitec Galaxus can't do much about that. You just have to be patient.

When did you pre-order the PS5? Date? If on 17.09. at night, then you would have had a great chance of getting one. I was in the shop early in the morning on 17.09. (approx. 8.00 a.m.) and pre-ordered one, unfortunately I was a few minutes too late, because on 18.09. Digitec sent me an email saying that I was not in the first wave. Your colleague was just lucky, a few companies were still supplied but it's like playing the lottery, good luck with it.... Digitec can't be blamed for anything...
