Install the ProjecTivy Tools app. Then activate "ProjecTivy Tools" under Settings --> Device settings --> Operating aids (set to "On"). Then open the app and under: Settings" --> App Settings "launch on Boot" select the desired HDMI input. Hopefully this is explained in sufficient detail and completely. It works for me with this method. Greetings

Hello, I would recommend you and everyone else to solve the whole thing with an Apple TV ~€100 or a Fire TV Stick ~€35, for example. Background. In principle, there is nothing wrong with the software or the remote control of the device itself, but this way everything works like clockwork, especially with regard to the compatibility of the apps, and you can certainly also import your Logitech FB with one of the devices. I myself have used an Apple TV 4K, you should make sure to use a high quality 4K cable with at least 60 Hz and HDR capable, (if you want to use this with the projector, it will then be quite a bit darker, but with the right screen it is still worthwhile, I found the effects for example in Game of Thrones, e.g. fire flares in the dark very worth seeing, or the wow effect was definitely there, during the day with certain light incidence, I would not use the HDR, unless you darken completely.;)) Back to the adjustments. Adjusting the HDMI input of the projector itself and the resolution and colour space of the Apple TV worked perfectly and the remote control of the Apple TV automatically controls the projector as well as the Apple TV, volume, app control, voice assistant etc.. I had no problems at all from the beginning, maybe you can get it to work with the Chinese software, but an Apple TV has certain advantages anyway, and why not use the whole thing. And let's be honest, if you have €1000 to spare for the projector, why save this relatively small amount for a high and uncomplicated level of comfort? Of course, everyone has to know that for themselves. I am very satisfied with my Samsung TV set, the Samsung projector, which probably has the same software, would not necessarily need this upgrade, although I have already got used to the Apple TV in a very positive way. By the way, you can also use the remote control from the projector for the Apple TV, just as an aside. Have fun with the device:)

When it comes to gaming, I've only had experience with the Nintendo Switch (Mario Kart). Runs flawlessly. Definitely not recommended in daylight on a normal white screen. But as soon as it's dark, it looks perfect. However, there are special screens for ultra short-distance beamers with which you can watch TV perfectly even in daylight.

Oh, that doesn't sound normal. Like something mechanical is "rubbing" on something? I would contact support. The coil whine is also quite loud I hear. Some coil whine is normal but it sounds strange. Many greetings, Dimitris

Have you ever changed the HDMI input on the beamer from 2.0? Simply hold down the confirmation button for Hdmi selection and activate it in the settings.

No, unfortunately there is no optical-mechanical or digital zoom function. The only option would be to move the unit directly to the wall, which might get you just under 2 metres (diagonally). A film in 16:9 format could still come close if the projector is placed directly against the wall, the illumination remains around 2 metres (diagonally). I can measure it exactly later.

NO, BEWARE OLD HARDWARE!!!! I assumed at Digitec that I would receive up-to-date hardware. The beamer delivered to me 01.2021 has the following type number XMJGTYDS01FM, a 1S the following MJJGTYDS04FM. This is not the 1S produced from June 2020 but the model which is already available from 2017. I only kept the beamer because I was dependent on it, otherwise I would have returned it immediately, as Digitec does not leave any type numbers in the product description so that it is possible to check what is being delivered. Now the two are identical except for the luminosity, which has been increased to 2000ANSI, but the luminosity also depends on the region. The European version of the old model had 1600 ANSI and 2 Chinese versions with 1500 and 1300 ANSI, but 2000 ANSI is a considerable difference. Since the equipment is the same, except for the luminosity, a price of 600-800 would be quite reasonable and worth considering, whereas 1500 or 1700 would be massively overpriced.

The Xbox Series X has exactly the same problem. Here, the menu navigation is a little unfortunate, HDMI2 can be selected in the HDMI settings, but the profile is not activated when switching to the input. The solution is simple. Install the latest updates on the Xaomi, select the input (HDMI, console, etc.), confirm with the Enter key and then press and hold the Enter key. In the menu, select the HDMI connector icon and select the Hdmi2 profile. On the Xbox / PS, the setting can now be permanently set to 4k.
