A good product!
Inexpensive, does the job indicate. Except that, it is not specified anywhere that to use the large mode it is necessary 2 hard disks STRICTLY identical. I've made the bitter experience with my hdds, they are the same disks with one difference, the cache of one is 32MB instead of 64MB. And impossible to use the large mode.
I've also noticed that when copying files, if the box goes into "sleep" mode, it doesn't restart except with the power button.Pro

Falling apart after 2 years and a half
A product like this failing after less than 3 years is a shame.

Price, look, feel are OK.
Unpack, plug in HDDs, close lid, connect power, connect server, set RAID, (manually,) runs. I bought the IcyBox because I had two 3.5" HDDs lying around and wanted to connect them to my Proxmox server. There was no space in the server's housing, so they are now connected externally. The RAID function is simple and quick to set up. All in all, a device that once it's up and running, it's up and running. The workmanship is okay, you don't have to do anything to it every day. It just stands there...
