It delivers a detailed, full, silky, and balanced sound. With both XLR and USB connectivity, the PodMic USB White can be used flexibly—either traditionally via XLR with a good preamp or audio interface, or digitally through the USB-C port into a computer or smartphone. The built-in audio interface in the PodMic USB White is top-notch, featuring an ultra-low-noise high-gain preamp and audiophile-grade A/D converters. Particularly useful is the integrated DSP chip, which gives the speaker's signal a highly professional sound right in the microphone, thanks to its high-pass filter, noise gate, compressor, and Aphex processing. To the left of the USB-C port is a 3.5 mm headphone jack, allowing for latency-free monitoring during recording (Direct Monitoring). The headphone volume control includes a built-in push button to switch from Direct Monitoring to computer signal. An LED under the USB-C port indicates the current status: green for microphone signal (Direct Monitoring) and red for signal from the computer or mobile device.
