Rollei Compact Traveler No. 1

The tripod is equipped with a quick-release plate and has a swivelling centre column, rubber feet and a sturdy aluminium panorama ball head. Its total weight is only 1.2 kg. The small packing size of the Compact Traveler No. 1 from Rollei is due to the 180° foldable tripod legs, at the same time this tripod is very light due to its aluminium construction. The 1.2 kg weight refers to the tripod plus quick-release plate. Photographers can assemble and disassemble the tripod at lightning speed using the quick-release clamp fitting, and handling is facilitated by a non-slip foam handle that ensures that the tripod legs are secure even in the cold. The 360° rotating centre column hook allows higher weights to be attached, the maximum load is indicated as 5 kg. Manufacturer Rollei has designed the colourful Compact Traveler No. 1 travel tripod especially for outdoor and travel photographers. The 5-fold tripod leg adjustment also allows a macro position, the FPH-53P panorama ball head is equipped with three spirit levels and a 1/4" tripod head screw. The maximum working height is 134 cm, on three legs the tripod can be adjusted to a minimum height of 32 cm, when the legs are "turned over" in the macro tripod position an effective height of 0 cm is achieved. Alternatively, the photographers turn the center column over. Remarkable are the stability of the metal legs and their comfortable fixation by means of swivel clamps, which allows the assembly to be carried out in a flash. Users achieve the greatest stability when they do not take off the lowest part of the legs, which is very thin (1 cm in diameter), although this costs 22 cm in height. The centre column itself holds a screw cap, three wide wings make screwing on very easy. All in all, the Compact Traveler No. 1 travel tripod from Rollei is convincing in all its functions.
