Product details

The α6600 offers extensive functions for a wide range of situations - fast AF, reliable image stabilisation and impressive image quality, a powerful battery and professional 4K HDR (HLG)2 video recording.
Large AF area, extremely high AF speed and subject tracking. The high focus point density covers around 84% of the image area. The fast hybrid autofocus achieves the world's fastest detection time of 0.02 seconds3 thanks to the best AF phase detection and contrast detection. For moving subjects, AF points are activated in high density around the subject. Shoot at up to 11 frames per second4 with minimum display delay, 8 frames per second4 in Live View and up to 1165 consecutive JPEG shots (standard). By viewing settings in the electronic viewfinder and displaying them in near real time, you can capture every moment of action. When silence is required, you can shoot at up to 8 frames per second6 without noise, even in AF-C mode. In combination with AF with real-time eye detection or real-time tracking, this opens up new creative possibilities. Start real-time tracking by holding the shutter button halfway down or select the subject by touch. You can also assign the tracking function to a customised button. The camera's tracking system uses AI-based subject recognition algorithms7 . Spatial information on colour, pattern (brightness) and distance (depth) is processed. High-speed tracking of the eye and face also takes place in real time. AF with real-time eye detection provides reliable eye detection and continuous tracking even when the subject is moving, backlit, looking down or part of the face is obscured. The same eye detection algorithms that create beautiful portraits are now available for animals8, so you can create beautiful animal portraits and wildlife shots.
