The Sony A7C is a good choice for leisure photography and travelling: compact and lightweight, yet robust and sealed against splash water. It also scores points with its sensor-shift image stabiliser, good battery and powerful AF system. The only thing not everyone will like is the small viewfinder image. The image sensor delivers balanced image quality - even at higher sensitivity settings.

The Alpha 7C is very compact and lightweight for a full-frame model - it weighs just 675 grams with the kit lens. On the contrary: the Alpha 7C reacts very quickly and delivers outstanding image quality for photos and videos. Film enthusiasts can look forward to a fold-out screen and long recording times. The viewfinder is a little pixelated and difficult to see with glasses.
If you are looking for a particularly compact full-frame camera with the latest autofocus capabilities, the Alpha 7C II is a good choice. However, most of the larger cameras in the test field offer greater ease of use, e.g. an autofocus joystick or better viewfinders.
