The Alpha 7C Il is compact, has a fast autofocus and a current full-frame sensor with 33 megapixels. It therefore offers almost everything that larger models have: The Alpha 7 IV has the same sensor but, among other things, a better viewfinder and two memory card slots. If you don't need the fast AF and the 33 megapixels, you could consider its predecessor, the Alpha 7C, which is cheaper...
The focus of the Sony camera family is the Alpha world. Here you will find models from the 7 and 9 series as well as the top model Alpha 1. The Alpha 7 series is mainly aimed at ambitious amateur photographers. But how do the respective models differ? The respective model name provides information...
The complete switch by manufacturers from DSLRs to mirrorless system cameras means that the housings of current cameras have also shrunk significantly compared to the past. This is logical, as manufacturers no longer have to accommodate bulky mirror boxes in their housings. Nevertheless, there are still considerable differences in size and weight even in current cameras...
With a price range from 890 to 8000 euros, there should be something to suit almost every budget. High-resolution medium and full-frame cameras offer top performance in terms of image quality. Robust, fast and excellently equipped cameras can also be found in the APS-C and MFT range...
If you are looking for a particularly compact full-frame camera with the latest autofocus capabilities, the Alpha 7C II is a good choice. However, most of the larger cameras in the test field offer greater ease of use, e.g. an autofocus joystick or better viewfinders. The Canon EOS R8, which is the second cheapest camera tested with a street price of 1800 euros, won the test and offers the best value...
- Top image quality for photos and videos
- Top autofocus
- Small and light
- Somewhat pixelated viewfinder
The Sony Alpha 7C Il is a true mini among full-frame cameras, but it delivers the best performance. This includes not only the outstanding image quality in photos and videos, but also the top autofocus, which works very quickly and accurately. Only the viewfinder resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels is no longer up to date in this price range.
