You can tell that the Xperia 1 VI comes from Sony in many areas. And that is meant in a positive way, as the device definitely focuses on photography and video. We really liked the newly developed photo app and the Creator functions. The possible link to Alpha cameras is also practical. For example, you can use the smartphone as an extra monitor.

Sony has made sensible improvements to the Xperia 1 VI compared to its predecessor, which primarily benefit users. For example, the battery life has been increased and the camera app has been made much easier to use. In terms of charging time and operating system, however, there is still room for improvement.

The Xperia 1 VI is certainly not a standard mobile phone. The camera is certainly appealing with its optical zoom, autofocus and macro shots, but the non-slip and textured back is particularly memorable. Whether all this justifies a price of 1,400 euros is questionable, however...
