Das SoundMaster IR 4000 erzielt lediglich den letzten Rand im Vergleichstest. Dies liegt an einem schlechten UKW-Empfang, aber auch an Schwächen bei Klang und der Bedienung. Der DAB+ Empfang ist jedoch gut, der Schutz gegen Funkstörungen funktioniert und auch die Verbrauchswerte sind gut.
