Robustness, light weight and compact dimensions speak for the Tamron lens. The performance is very good.
For X cameras, a mechanical aperture ring would make sense, which would better support the operating concept of the Fujifilm models.
Tamron's second lens for the X bayonet provides Fujifilm photographers with a successful alternative to the camera manufacturer's standard zooms. The optical performance is very good, and the shooting functions such as autofocus and image stabilisation are also convincing.

The Tamron delivers a well-balanced performance that is appropriate given its affordable price. The handling is good.
The equipment with functional elements can be expanded. A locking switch for the focal length and an AF/MF switch would be desirable.
With its 4.1x zoom factor, the Tamron lens is a powerful all-rounder that delivers beautiful free-frame effects, for example in portraits, thanks to its high speed. The street price of the lens has already dropped significantly, making it an interesting alternative for Sony photographers.
