Verbatim offers the solution with this external slimline CD/DVD burner.

This small device is the perfect complement for your notebook, ultrabook or netbook. This allows you to install your software or create backups. Verbatim's external Slimline CD/DVD writer is powered via USB, so you don't need a bulky adapter. The drive is barely bigger than a DVD and just fits in your pocket - so you can take it with you wherever you go.

The drive comes with Nero's Burn & Archive software, which includes numerous special features such as DiscSpan, MediaHome, and SecureDisc technology to help you successfully organize, burn, and archive your important files.
